December 2017

A good day to try to catch up on the past 5 months of not keeping this blog up to date, and a good day to commit to making entries on a more regular basis.
We found a new restaurant, owned by a Hungarian with an interesting menu.  We can take the free Becamex bus there, and then walk a few minutes, so it makes for a perfect Saturday night date for us.

The new chapel is finally ready.  Our first trip over on our bikes, met by horses in the field below

Saigon Santa was a big success at our Branch's first Christmas party

Our Zone got to take a Trip on New Year Eve day to the Mekong Delta

Lunch in the Delta.  I was able to snag a vegetarian meal that did not include picking the flesh off a fired fish in the middle of the table.

Cameras ready to record the fascinating moment when rice cooking in oil puffs like popcorn!
Our English teaching crew at the VietAnh school.  The school directors are more than generous -- in addition to these significant Christmas gifts, we were given envelope of significant amounts of money too!
First meeting in the new building
Duy invited us to dinner and to share his birthday celebration
The next day, Duy is baptised, the first in our new building.
